March 6, 2014—Premiere Services, a provider of audio electronics to the insurance industry, has partnered with LKQ Corp. to launch the Mobile Electronics Quality Replacement Program (QRP), which offers OEM electronics parts to body shops as a cost-effective option for mobile electronics replacement.
The QRP extends Premiere Services’ market beyond aftermarket products to OEM offerings for collision repair.
“We are seeing an increase in OEM collision damage related to the electronic components. Our QRP is designed to assist in the parts replacement for this category,” said Laura Puente, president of Premiere Services. “The program is also the only one available to the industry that provides tested and certified products with a lifetime warranty.”
Puente said the QRP is available to any insurance company or collision repair facility, and the process for acquiring OEM parts is “as simple as it is for our aftermarket parts.” Under the program, Premiere Services will ship parts directly to collision repair facilities to complete the repair. Shops can also make arrangements to have Premiere Services’ installation team complete the repair.
Puente said the program will reduce indemnity costs for insurance companies by offering warrantied parts at reduced costs compared to OEM prices, and the program could help prevent damaged vehicles from becoming total losses.
Electronics parts included in the QRP can be found using CCC Information Services Inc.’s CCC ONE platform.
“By working with Premiere Services, the process helps decrease cycle time and is simplified for insurers and body shops,” said Terry Fortner, vice president of LKQ. “Collision repair facilities can take advantage of obtaining the warrantied part and installing it themselves or have Premiere Services handle the repair.”
Insurance companies and collision repair facilities interested in participating with the QRP can contact Premiere Services at 800.479.9945.
