3M Funding Scholarships Through ‘Hire Our Heroes’ Campaign

March 13, 2014—3M announced that Thursday that it will fund special scholarship opportunities for veterans that are looking to begin a career in the collision repair industry.

The scholarships will be provided through the Collision Repair Education Foundation and the 3M “Hire Our Heroes” program and will allow veterans to attend a collision repair community college or college. The scholarships will pay for tuition and required books and tools for those enrolling in a program this fall.

“We are excited to be able to continue the 3M Hire Our Heroes program in 2014 and expand it to provide more resources to our returning veterans who want to pursue education, training and careers in the collision repair industry,” said Dale Ross, U.S. marketing operations manager, 3M Automotive Aftermarket Division.

Interested veterans can apply for the scholarship opportunities by visiting the Education Foundation’s website. The application deadline is Sept. 30.
