I-CAR appoints new national MSO manager

Jan. 31, 2012

Jan. 31, 2012—I-CAR on Monday named Doug Schlueter as the organization’s new national MSO manager.

I-CAR said Schlueter will be responsible for growing its multi-shop operator segment, establishing and maintaining relationships, and improving operational efficiencies.

Schlueter has more than 20 years of operations and sales management experience, I-CAR said. He most recently served I-CAR as south central regional manager. Prior to that, Schlueter held various management positions including: vice president of sales and marketing for a national commercial cleaning company, director of auctions for Yellow Corp., general manager for Copart, general manager for Insurance Auto Auctions, and manager for Hertz and Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

Schlueter also holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of North Texas, according to I-CAR.

“Doug will be instrumental in his new role as national MSO manager at I-CAR. Through serving in the role of south central regional manager since 2009, Schlueter has gained a clear understanding of the needs of the MSO segment and has the skills necessary to help I-CAR and the industry achieve its goals,” said Jeff Peevy, senior director of field operations and segment development for I-CAR.

I-CAR also appointed Rene Rodarte to be Schlueter’s successor as south central regional manager.

I-CAR said Rodarte has more than 17 years of experience in the collision repair industry. He has held operations management leadership roles with Sterling Autobody Centers and two independent operators in the San Antonio market.

“Rene has been an active part-time I-CAR instructor and San Antonio committee member for the past ten years. I-CAR is pleased to welcome him as a full-time regional manager to the south central region,” Peevy said. “His experience in the industry and with I-CAR made him an ideal candidate for the position.”
