July 8, 2015—On June 30, Axalta Coating Systems was presented with the Volvo Cars Quality Excellence (VQE) Award at a ceremony held at Axalta’s site in Wuppertal, Germany.
The VQE Award is given to companies that meet the requirements and score 100 percent on a set of criteria, as defined by Volvo. The criteria measures excellence in different operational areas including trust, logistics and certificates.
“The work that leads up to being recognised with an award like this doesn’t happen overnight,” said Patrick de Wolf, Axalta’s technical and commercial leader. “It takes many people, working as a team, with a clear united focus on delivering the very best products and services possible to our customers.”
Dr. Norbert Weckes, Axalta’s site leader for Wuppertal, and Albrecht Luick, Axalta’s business director OEM, EMEA, were presented with the award.
“We are all driven to perform better every day, so our team is very proud to get this award,” said Weckes. “It is good to see that hard work and dedication to quality performance pays off.”
