CIECA Founder, Former CIC Chairman Dale Delmege Passes Away

Feb. 17, 2015—Longtime collision repair industry professional and advocate Dale Delmege passed away Sunday evening.

Delmege was the founder and former director and chairman of the Collision Industry Electronic Commerce Association (CEICA), and a founder of the National Auto Body Council.

Delmege also was a past chairman of the Collision Industry Conference (CIC).

Delmege is survived by his wife, Mary; his five children, Laura, Diana, Dale Jr., Mark and Caleb; his eight grandchildren; and his sister, Leslie McDonald.

CIC released a statement from Delmege’s family Tuesday morning that read, in part, “During Dale's 30-year involvement and contribution to the collision industry, he brought an unparalleled amount of wit, wisdom and insight to countless number of people within every segment of the industry. As an inductee into the [industry’s] Hall of Eagles and past Collision Industry Conference Chairmen, Dale worked passionately to offer an unprecedented amount of foresight, acumen and guidance to the industry as a whole.”

In lieu of flowers, Delmege and is family requested a donation made to the Children's Skin Disease Foundation, csdf.org. Memorial services are yet to be determined.
