Oct. 20, 2011—The Collision Repair Education Foundation (CREF) will announce the recipient of its 2011 Ultimate Collision Makeover $50,000 school grant during the 2011 SEMA Show.
The winning school will be able to select $50,000 worth of supplies, tools and equipment to improve its collision repair program.
The announcement will be made Nov. 2 at 1 p.m. on the collision repair and refinish stage in the North Hall of the SEMA Show, according to the CREF. Ralph Gilles, president and CEO of SRT Brand and Motorsports will help make the announcement.
“I applaud the work the Collision Repair Education Foundation is doing to help fund and further educate prospects in the collision business,” Gilles said. “With the many challenges facing students throughout the automotive industry today, the need for well-trained, passionate and reliable employees is never going away. And it’s grants like this one that can make a significant difference in the lives of promising students and allow them the ability to earn a good living.”
The 2011 SEMA Show is scheduled for Nov. 1-4 in Las Vegas.
