Car Show Raises $15,000 for Scholarship Foundation

Dec. 11, 2015

Dec. 11, 2015—The Church Brothers Collision Repair Car Show raised $15,000 for the Gary Dudley Memorial Scholarship Foundation, a foundation that honors late Indiana State Police Lieutenant Gary Dudley.

Nearly 170 vehicles participated in the event on Aug. 29 at the Church  Brothers’ Shadeland Avenue shop in Indianapolis. All of the proceeds raised at the event were matched by Church Brothers Collision Repair, bringing the grand total to $15,000.

Lieutenant Dudley was killed in 2006 while participating in a charity bicycle ride for the Indiana Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS). The foundation, which was established by his widow Carolyn, awards college scholarships to children of  Indiana law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. To date, nearly $200,000 has been award.

The Dudley Foundation has been named the primary beneficiary of future Church Brothers’ car shows.
