University of the Aftermarket Foundation Announces 135 Scholarship Recipients

Aug. 17, 2016—The University of the Aftermarket Foundation announced Tuesday the recipients of 135 scholarships for the 2016-2017 academic year. 

“It’s exciting to see that so many young, talented individuals are working very hard to pursue a career in the auto care industry,” said Tim Lee, MAAP, chairman of the University of the Aftermarket Foundation. “With the rising cost of education, we are very pleased that the University of the Aftermarket Foundation can assist these students, and others, to achieve their academic goals.”

Each student attends or will attend either a two-year vocational or technical college, or a four-year college. Each will receive either a $1,000 or a $2,000 scholarship toward his or her education.The scholarships, totaling $175,000, were awarded to students working either to become a mechanical, collision or heavy duty repair professional or studying to earn an engineering or business degree leading to a career in the automotive aftermarket.
