National Auto Body Research Launches VRS Procedure Document Search

Aug. 25, 2015

Aug. 25, 2015—Sam and Richard Valenzuela of National Auto Body Research (NABR), the creators of the Variable Rate System (VRS), announced this week the coming launch of the VRS Procedures Document Search, an online, searchable library of documents that will show which insurers pay for non-included procedures and operations.

The project aims to gather actual documents showing which insurers reimburse for what procedures and to which shops.

The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of New Jersey (AASP/NJ) announced on Monday its support of NABR and its initiatives, including its continued work on the VRS

“I strongly believe that in the near future, the Variable Rate Survey will be the tool that makes it possible for collision shops to prove that the rates they are asking for are actually fair and reasonable,” said Charles Bryant, AASP/NJ executive director.
