GEICO Names New Senior Vice President

Aug.17, 2015—On Friday, George Rogers was promoted to senior vice president at GEICO. In addition to his current duties, Rogers’ new responsibilities will include overseeing GEICO’s Southeast and Midwest operations.

“George brings a tremendous breadth of experience from having held executive positions in three regional offices as well as at the corporate headquarters,” said Bill Roberts, GEICO president. “He has successfully tackled many challenges during his career with GEICO, and I’m confident he’ll succeed in this new role as well.”

Rogers joined GEICO in 1969 and since then has held different positions including director of performance review and regional liability director. He served as assistant vice president of claims in GEICO’s Macon, Ga., regional office from 1993 to 1996. He was then promoted to vice president of GEICO claims and a year later, he was named the company’s chief claims officer. In 2000, Rogers was selected to head GEICO’s Dallas regional operations before assuming his current position as regional vice president of GEICO’s lakeland office in 2002.

Among other his involvement with numerous other industry advisory board, Rogers has served on the National Association of Independent Insurers’ Executive Claims Committee and the Board of Governors for the National Insurance Crime Bureau. In addition to his duties at GEICO, he currently serves on the board of directors for Florida Southern College and the Chairman’s Circle of the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce.
