April 11, 2014—Marshall Auto Body has received the 2014 Wisconsin Sustainable Process of the Year award, given by the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council (WSBC).

Marshall Auto Body and owner Aaron Marshall are considered by many in the collision repair industry as being at the forefront of lean processing. The award recognizes the Waukesha, Wisc., shop for its “unique approach to sustainability,” as part of the WSBC’s annual Earth Day Business Sustainability Awards.

By developing a business model centered on customer value and eliminating or minimizing as much waste activity and material as possible they were able to do more with the same inputs. These changes have meant less waste to recycle, lower energy consumption, lower material usage and the ability to get the bulk of their electrical power from a large 72kW solar panel array.
