Uni-Select buys FinishMaster for $217M

Dec. 10, 2010—FinishMaster announced on Thursday that it will be acquired by Uni-Select Inc.

The acquisition will be structured as a merger, keeping FinishMaster’s headquarters in Indianapolis, according to a FinishMaster press release_notes. The shareholders of FinishMaster will receive $21 per share in cash, without interest. FinishMaster was bought for approximately $217 million. Uni-Select’s North American revenue is more than $1 billion.

Lacy, president and CEO of FinishMaster. “Combining the industry expertise of our two management teams will allow us to further penetrate the market and expand our customer base creating opportunities for FinishMaster associates as well as our suppliers."
