Nov. 30, 2011—AAA on Wednesday announced its free mobile app, AAA Insurance, is now available for use on Android devices.
The app, which was originally launched for the iPhone and iPad in May, provides users with crash scene assistance. AAA said the app walks drivers through post-crash activities such as collecting information, taking photos, identifying damage, documenting witnesses and obtaining police report details.
The app also provides one-touch access to call police and emergency services, request a tow and to contact the AAA Insurance claims department. Users can store their auto insurance company's contact information and policy number within the app, according to AAA.
In addition, AAA said users can view crash report details and email a report directly from their mobile device.
"The information that needs to be collected following a collision can be overwhelming, even if all parties involved are uninjured," said Jeff Green, AAA national managing director of wireless product strategy and programs for AAA. "The AAA Insurance app guides drivers through step-by-step instructions on the necessary information to gather and photos to snap before leaving the scene of a traffic accident."
AAA Insurance is the fourth free AAA application available on iPhone and Android products. For more information, visit AAA.com.
