AMI announces AVI Education Scholarship winner

Sept. 6, 2012—The Automotive Management Institute (AMI), alongside partner Automotive Video Inc. (AVI), announced the winner of a scholarship that will cover the costs of attending Automotive Service and Repair Week (ASRW).

Charlene Parlett, owner of Southeast Auto Service and Repair in Hinesville, Ga., received the AVI Education Scholarship. She gets $1,000 to cover the expenses of attending educational sessions and checking out the latest repair technology and equipment at ASRW Oct. 10-13 in New Orleans.

Parlett is a member of the Automotive Service Association (ASA) and the Chamber of Commerce, and has been part of the industry for seven years.

“I’m grateful to receive this scholarship," she said. "It offers me the opportunity to grow as a business owner, meet others in the industry and further my education and knowledge."
