Oct. 8, 2012—Organizers of Automotive Service & Repair Week (ASRW) 2012 announced the launch of a new initiative that will debut during this year’s event, Twenty 2.0–Peer Benchmarking.
ASRW organizers said Twenty 2.0 is a peer benchmarking virtual 20 Group concept that helps automotive shop operators improve their businesses. The Twenty 2.0 concept is applicable to both mechanical service and collision repair shop owners.
The Twenty 2.0 event is a 90-minute session lead by ASRW’s keynote speaker Dick Cross, an author and business turnaround expert who previously served as CEO of CARSTAR Auto Body Repair Experts. The event will include a 30-minute introductory session, followed by a one-hour breakout session.
All participants will be able to enroll in the formal, ongoing Twenty 2.0 virtual 20 Group at the conclusion of the session, ASRW organizers said.
“Shop owners interested in obtaining the value of participating in a 20 Group process with a non-traditional time or financial investment won’t want to miss this unique session,” said Ron Pyle, president of the Automotive Service Association (ASA). “We’ve taken the 20 Group concept and upgraded it to the digital age. Participants who formally enroll will receive all the benefits of belonging to a 20 Group, with a virtual twist.”
ASRW organizers said the Twenty 2.0 session will take place Oct. 12 at 12:00 p.m. Registration is available both online and onsite for $85.
ASRW 2012, which includes the NACE and CARS events, is scheduled for Oct. 10-13 at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. For more information, or to register for the Twenty 2.0 session, visit asrwevents.com.
