Minnesota shop manager receives AMI’s Emil Stanley Merit Award

Sept. 13, 2012—The Automotive Management Institute (AMI) and the Automotive Service Association (ASA) recently announced that Ben Rouw, general manager of Steele’s Collision & Glass in Monticello, Minn., is the recipient of the 2012 Emil Stanley Merit Award.

As the recipient of the award, Rouw will receive $1,000 toward expenses to attend the 2012 NACE Expo, which is scheduled for Oct. 10-13 at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.

AMI said Rouw has worked in the automotive and collision repair industry for more than 19 years. He is currently completing the necessary requirements to earn AMI’s Accredited Automotive Manager (AAM) designation.

“I am honored to be the recipient of this award, and I’m looking forward to the training and networking opportunities that this scholarship will facilitate,” Rouw said. “This opportunity will provide me with new knowledge and help build industry relationships that are critical to my future success.”
