MSO Symposium to become annual event

Oct. 8, 2011

Orlando, Fla., Oct. 8, 2011—Multi-shop operators (MSOs) at this year’s Automotive Service and Repair Week (ASRW) events have been buzzing about a new offering added just for them—the MSO Symposium.

The symposium was held Oct. 6 for a sell-out crowd of 150 at the Orange County Convention Center. It featured educational sessions specific to MSOs, as well as networking opportunities. It was so well received that event organizers plan to make it an annual event.

“The MSO Symposium was one of the most highly anticipated events at ASRW 2011 and it far surpassed all expectations we had for our first effort,” said Ron Pyle, president of the Automotive Service Association. “We received a tremendous response to this event, both from attendees and sponsors. We have a lot of people to thank for the success of the event, and we look forward to making the symposium bigger and better for 2012.”

Pyle also said the organization plans to work on developing sessions to meet the needs of other groups within the collision repair industry.

ASRW, comprised of NACE and CARS, will take place Oct. 10–13 at the Morail Convention Center in New Orleans next year.
