June 7, 2011 — Summit Software Solutions on Monday announced the integration of its shop management system with ALLDATA Collision S3500, a move meant to give repairers access to OEM data during each stage of the repair process.
“Customer service representatives, estimators, file handlers, parts personnel, production managers and especially technicians now have ‘one-click’ access to line item OEM information, whenever they need it,” said Frank Terlep, CEO of Summit Software. “This will not only increase sales and profitability for repairers it will improve repair quality, cycle time and peace of mind for the consumer, insurer and repairer.”
The Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association’s (AAIA) Web service standard, iShop, made the integration possible. ALLDATA helped develop the iShop technology, which enables shop equipment from a variety of makes to share information about the customer, vehicle and service work without re-entering it multiple times.
“We are extremely proud to collaborate with Summit to provide a seamless experience to collision professionals, thanks to iShop standards,” said Wayne Mitchell, director of aales and operations for ALLDATA.
Summit’s management software offers a wide range of functions including visual RO, production controls, advanced scheduling, automated payroll, shop floor information, a paperless documentation system and more. ALLDATA Collision S3500 delivers unedited and regularly updated information for structural repairs, as well as mechanical and diagnostic information.
