Ford Exports on the Rise

Dec. 23, 2013

Dec. 23, 2013—Ford Motor Company recently announced that it has seen a nearly 50 percent rise in exports of its vehicles produced in the U.S. during the last four years.

The data shows an increase from 250,957 exports in 2009 to 371,409 in 2012. Exports increased 13.6 percent from 2011 to 2012 alone. Ford said in a news release_notes about the growth that it is the result of new product launches in emerging markets, increased market share, and expanding dealer presence in emerging markets.

U.S. automotive exports totaled $132.7 billion in 2012, according to the release.
