Texas repairer raises $60,000 for local charity

Feb. 28, 2012

Feb. 28, 2012—Herb’s Paint and Body, a seven-shop collision repair operation based in Dallas, recently raised $60,000 for the Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas through its annual charity golf tournament.

Herb’s Paint and Body said all proceeds from the tournament, which was held at the Canyon Creek Country Club, were donated for the long-term growth of the Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas.

The Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas offers parent-to-parent support, informational packets and quarterly gatherings for families that have young children with Down syndrome. It’s the only nonprofit organization in the Dallas area solely dedicated to such an initiative, according to Herb’s Paint and Body.

Herb’s Paint and Body has hosted its annual charity golf tournament since 1993. The company has raised more than $250,000 for local charities since the launching the initiative.
