I-CAR Names Keynote Speaker for 2013 Conference

May 17, 2013—I-CAR on Thursday announced that Reginald Modlin, director of regulatory affairs for the Chrysler Group, will serve as keynote speaker during the 2013 I-CAR Inter-Industry Conference July 24-25 in Boston.

The theme of this year’s I-CAR conference is “Driving Excellence...in Technology—The Changing World of Vehicle Technology & What it Means to You.” Modlin’s keynote presentation will focus on auto manufacturer CAFE compliance and the impacts on vehicle design.

Modlin is responsible for all aspects of product safety and environmental compliance as director of regulatory affairs with Chrysler. I-CAR said his key responsibilities include policy development to guide reaction of legislation and regulations in vehicle emissions certification, fuel economy strategy and reporting, vehicle safety compliance demonstrations, and resolution of compliance issues with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

In addition, I-CAR said renowned Autoline TV host and author John McElroy will serve as moderator of the two-day conference.
