CCAR and Sherwin-Williams partner to promote GreenLink Shop program

June 30, 2010

June 30, 2010—The Coordinating Committee For Automotive Repair (CCAR) announced its partnership with Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes (SWAF) in promoting CCAR GreenLink Shop certification for SWAF’s A-Plus Network and EcoLean repair shops.

The SWAF programs train industry professionals, help shops go lean, and create solutions for cutting environmental waste, according to a CCAR press release_notes. The new partnership will allow these shops to be recognized for their efforts by potentially becoming a GreenLink Shop.

“We are excited to bring the benefits of CCAR’s GreenLink Shop recognition program to our A-Plus Network Members,” said Brandon Devis, A-Plus Network program manager. “Our members continue to look for ways to set them apart from their respective competition and this is a great consumer driver benefit. There is a natural synergy between the GreenLink Shop recognition and our EcoLean training we provide through our A-Plus University workshops.”

To reach GreenLink Shop status, shops must maintain high standards of safety, health and eco-friendly business practices. For more information, go to ccar-greenlink.org/gls.
