CARSTAR aims to break its own record on national car wash

May 31, 2011

May 31, 2011 CARSTAR will try to break its own world record in car wash numbers with its annual Soaps It Up! national car wash on June 11 at more than 140 locations throughout North America.

Two years ago, CARSTAR washed more than 4,000 cars in an eight-hour period at all of its participating locations, setting a Guinness World Record. Last year, CARSTAR beat its own record, washing 4,100 cars in one day. The Soaps It Up! campaign raises money for charities such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation in the U.S. and cystic fibrosis organizations in Canada. People buy $10 car wash tickets at any participating CARSTAR location, and 100 percent of the proceeds goes toward the selected charities.

CARSTAR Collision Care in Milford, Ohio will be the national host for the event.
