CARSTAR names national award winners

Sept. 26, 2012

Sept. 26, 2012—CARSTAR Auto Body Repair Experts recently honored its top-performing shops with five national awards during the company’s annual conference in San Antonio.

CARSTAR Yorkville in Yorkville, Ill., was named as CARSTAR’s Franchisee of the Year. The shop, owned by Dean and Chris Fisher, was selected for the award because of it’s ability to use all vendors possible, image compliance, report submissions and consistently high customer satisfaction, CARSTAR said.

“Franchisee of the Year is the highest award given in the CARSTAR system, and it represents the best of the best that is CARSTAR,” the company said.

CARSTAR also presented the following four additional awards:

• Rookie of the Year: The award was presented to Ken’s CARSTAR Body Works in Dalton, Ga., which is owned by Ken White. CARSTAR said the award is meant to recognize new franchisees as they get up and running with the company.

• Outstanding Facility Performance: CARSTAR’s Outstanding Facility Performance award was presented to Paul Edgcomb, owner of Champion CARSTAR Collision in Hightstown, N.J., for the second consecutive year. CARSTAR said the award recognizes a shop that achieves high ratings in sales, profits, customer satisfaction, tier compliance, and company and community involvement.

• Outstanding Technician Performance: The award was presented to Walt’s Autobody CARSTAR in Topeka, Kan., owned by Dean Koelzer. CARSTAR said the annual award is given to the facility that produces the most hours and dollars per technician on its monthly flash reports throughout the year.

• Outstanding Office Performance: CARSTAR said the award is given to the facility that produces the most hours and dollars per front office personnel on each of its monthly flash reports. The award was presented to CARSTAR Collision Care of Wilmington in Wilmington, Ohio.

“It takes a lot of innovative thinking, strong leadership and teamwork to satisfy so many customers while meeting the challenges of today’s economy and ever-changing business environment,” said David Byers CEO of CARSTAR. “The national award recipients we’ve recognized during this year’s CARSTAR conference should be proud of their accomplishments. We can all learn something from their examples.”
