SEMA announces board of directors, accepting nominations for SEMA Awards

June 17, 2011—SEMA announced its board of directors Friday for the association’s 2011-2012 term.

The SEMA board of directors roster is as follows:

“Our industry is always subject to change and challenge,” said Chris Kersting, SEMA president and CEO. “This is a time when the industry’s association can prove extremely valuable. We appreciate the talented volunteers on the SEMA board who have committed to help the industry with their service.”

The newly elected members will be recognized July 29 during the SEMA Installation Banquet and Gala Fundraiser at the Renaissance Long Beach Hotel in Long Beach, Calif. During the event, outgoing SEMA board members will be recognized for their contributions to the industry. In addition, the late Gray Baskerville, Art Chrisman, Chris Economaki and John Towle will be introduced as the 2011 SEMA Hall of Fame inductees, according to SEMA.

SEMA is also now accepting nominations for the SEMA Awards through July 29. Award categories include: SEMA Person of the Year, SEMA Rep Agency of the Year and SEMA WD of the Year.
