Nov. 9, 2011—Organizers of Automotive Service & Repair Week (ASRW) on Wednesday announced 42 companies have already reserved space to exhibit at the 2012 event, which is scheduled for Oct. 10-13 at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.
About 20 percent of the exhibitor space on ASRW’s show floor has been sold, according to show organizers.
Ron Pyle, president of the Automotive Service Association (ASA), said the strong sales effort for 2012 is a direct reflection of ASRW 2011, recently held in Orlando, Fla.
ASRW organizers report that 19,221 people attended the 2011 event—an 18 percent increase compared to 2010. One-third of participants were from the East Coast and one-third were new attendees.
“We had our strongest show in years, and as a result of that tremendous effort, manufacturers and suppliers are eager to show their support of the industry by exhibiting again in 2012,” Pyle said. “It’s exciting to have such momentum backing us and we’re certainly grateful to each of these companies for their early commitments.”
“NACE allowed us the opportunity to showcase our services in a well-organized and exciting environment. Everyone was upbeat and enjoyed very engaging conversations,” said Matt Boyles, operations director for Collision Automotive Repair Services Inc. “The networking opportunities for any exhibitor are great. We were glad to have this opportunity and are already getting excited for New Orleans next year!”
