PPG names Jain vice president of strategic planning and corporate development

Dec. 29, 2010—PPG Industries named Anup Jain as vice president of strategic planning and corporate development.

The appointment will be effective as of Jan. 1, 2011, according to PPG.

Jain will join the company’s operating committee at PPG’s global headquarters in Pittsburgh, according to PPG.

“Anup brings a broad range of experience to this important strategic role, which will be instrumental to PPG as we continue to grow and expand our businesses globally,” said Charles Bunch, chairman and CEO of PPG.

Jain previously held the position of vice president and general manager for Honeywell Corp., according to PPG.

Jain holds a bachelor’s degree in computer and electrical engineering from the University of Michigan, and a master’s degree in business administration.
