PPG MVP problem-solving workshop coming in 2011

Nov. 3, 2010

Nov. 3, 2010—PPG announced on Wednesday the release_notes of a new workshop that will focus on problem-solving methods and strategic planning for collision repair shops.

The two-day workshop, Introduction to Problem Solving, will cover strategies for uniting the collision repair team to work toward a common goal in order to improve the business, according to a PPG press release. Once the team identifies a goal, they will implement the routine for achieving that goal. Lean Six Sigma tools will be used in the workshop.

Introduction to Problem Solving was piloted at the MVP Business Solutions Conference in September, and will be offered in the beginning of 2011 as part of the MVP Business Development Series.

“Problem solving is the foundation of a continuous improvement culture. It is important that managers recognize problem solving as an integral part of their job function. They must learn to lead their team through a process of creating solutions that solve the business’ unique problems,” said David Knapp, senior manager of business solutions at PPG.
