Aug. 24, 2011 — OEConnection’s OEC 2.0 parts e-commerce platform is now available to Honda and Acura dealerships throughout the nation, the company recently announced.

The platform allows dealers to manage replacement parts inventory and trade with other dealerships, body shops, independent repair facilities and fleets with one solution, according to OEConnection.

“OEC 2.0 encompasses the most widely-used parts sourcing and marketing tool in the industry as well as online parts ordering and fulfillment solutions for collision and mechanical replacement parts,” the company said in a press release_notes about the platform. “In addition, OEC 2.0 features data mining and reporting tools that allow dealerships to analyze their wholesale parts business information and capitalize on opportunities to drive parts revenue and profit.”

Charles Rotuno, president and CEO of OEConnection, said the platform would improve efficiency, parts sales and customer service for Honda and Accura wholesale parts businesses.

"Dealerships using OEC 2.0 are finding that it gives them a distinct competitive advantage in today's aggressive replacement parts marketplace," he said.

OEC 2.0 will allow Honda and Acura dealers to locate parts from either OEM franchise, enabling them to utilize more than 42,000 shared parts from one online solution, according to OEConnection. For more information, go to oeconnection.com.
