GRC-Pirk Releases Energy Tracking Tool

May 20, 2013

May 20, 2013—GRC-Pirk Management, based in Reno, Nev., recently released a new software tool called RO-PEPtalk to assist collision repair shops with lowering energy costs and improving work performance.

The RO-PEPtalk system compares labor-hour efficiency to utility-hour efficiency using a proportional analysis calculator. The information provides shops with energy efficiency feedback and effective methods for measuring process performance.

The system also helps shops comply with evolving building energy usage benchmark policies that regulate greenhouse gas and climate protection for the automotive industry.

“Although energy benchmarking is a crucial step on the path to asset management in modern body shops, the success of improving performance through energy feedback meetings will be determined by the commitment between employers and employees to improve overall operational efficiency,” said Steven Schillinger, president of GRC-Pirk Management.

RO-PEPtalk is an add-on software tool available in the Mitchell RepairCenter ToolStore, an industry marketplace that allows shops to connect with collision repair trading partners and third party tools.

"The RO-PEPtalk update to the GreenYield interface tool allows us to offer accounting and sustainability solutions that operate in one package. In turn, customers can be confident that they have the necessary data to measure their business efficiency," said Brian Elmi, senior manager of product management for Mitchell International. "Being able to measure process efficiency will resonate well with customers and we are very pleased to be the first provider to feature ENERGY STAR rated reporting in RepairCenter ToolStore.”
