Former FenderBender Board Member Featured on New ABC Series

June 20, 2013

June 20, 2013—Audra Fordin, owner and president of Great Bear Auto Repair and Body Shop in Flushing, N.Y., appeared Wednesday on ABC’s “The Lookout” series.

Fordin, a former FenderBender editorial advisory board member, is also the founder and CEO of Women Auto Know, a website that seeks to empower women drivers with educational workshops, maintenance and instilling solid relationships with auto mechanics.

On the show, Fordin shared her auto repair experience by guiding a vetting of auto repair shops.

Fordin acted as an “undercover mechanic,” visiting auto repair shops under the guise of a woman with little knowledge of auto repair to simulate the customer experience. She also checked the quality of work completed by the various shops.

ABC’s “The Lookout” is a new investigation series that tests products and trends by going undercover to help consumers.
