Garmat seeks entries for Sharp Shooter Contest

Sept. 6, 2011

Sept. 6, 2011 — Garmat USA is looking for the industry’s top paint techs to enter its Sharp Shooter Contest, which is open to all shops that use Garmat paint booth equipment.

The winner will receive a trip for two to Las Vegas for the 2011 SEMA Show Nov. 1–4. Five finalists will each receive two leather jackets (one for the paint tech and one for the shop owner). The first 200 entries receive a custom Garmat Sharp Shooter cap.

The contest requires a statement from shop managers about why a particular paint tech is a Garmat Sharp Shooter, and a statement from the tech about how the Garmat booth makes them a better painter. A bonus question asks for ideas on how to improve the Garmat booth.

According to the entry form, a qualified painter is “sharp” if they

• Are an employee a shop manager wants on his team
• Understand the workings of a Garmat booth
• Uphold the reputation for delivering high quality paint jobs with a high customer satisfaction rate
• Work safely inside and outside the booth
• Meet the shop’s production goals and finish jobs right the first time

"At tradeshows and site visits paint techs are always telling me how they prefer Garmat booths, so this is their chance to tell us why", said Johan Huwaert, Garmat USA's general manager. "This contest allows us to open channels of communication with the techs so they can give us feedback on what they would like to see in a paint booth."

The contest is open through Oct. 8. Find the entry form and contest rules at garmat.com.
