March 1, 2013—VeriFacts Automotive, a quality verification service for collision repair shops, has promoted Douglas Irish to president of the organization, effective immediately.

In his new role, Irish will be responsible for day-to-day operations, and product planning and development. Irish will also expand opportunities into new markets and serve as the company’s industry point of contact.

"Doug has proven to be a valued associate and has a deep understanding of the industry and VeriFacts' role in that industry,” said Farzam Afshar, CEO and co-founder of VeriFacts. “He has the unique perspective as a former technician, shop owner and manager, along with 20 years of experience on the insurance side of the business, which we believe will reinforce VeriFacts’ position as the market leader for independent collision repair verification.”

The announcement was made at VeriFacts' annual invitational “Fix It Right, Fix It Smart” Symposium on Feb. 19 in La Jolla, Calif.
