Oct. 11, 2011

Oct. 11, 2011—3M on Monday announced that Chip Foose will illustrate the company’s automotive history in a live presentation at the 3M booth during the 2011 SEMA Show.

Foose will create a visual presentation that illustrates the 3M Automotive chronological timeline. Foose will illustrate how 3M Automotive evolved from providing sandpaper and tape in the early days of the automotive industry to the advanced technology and engineering products it provides for vehicles today, according to 3M.

3M said the illustration will encompass three large panels measuring more than 20 feet long.

The presentation will be held Nov. 1 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. PST at 3M booth 12025.

“I am excited to be a part of 3M Automotive and look forward to illustrating 3M’s history in the automotive industry, sharing how their innovation and technology touches just about every aspect of the vehicles we build, repair, restore and drive every day,” Foose said. “I promise it will be fun, unique and you just might learn something new. See you there!”

Foose is the owner and chief designer of Foose Design, and the star of TLC’s TV show “Overhaulin.” Foose is also the spokesperson for 3M Latin America Automotive Aftermarket Division.
