Collex Collision Experts opens 15th shop

May 10, 2011

May 10, 2011 — Collex Collision Experts recently opened a new facility in Woodhaven, Mich., its 15th to date.

The 20,000-square-foot repair center was formerly a Winner’s Dodge Collision shop. Collex plans to revamp the facility with a waterborne paint system, downdraft paint booths, laser frame measuring equipment and computerized welding tools.

The shop’s opening brings roughly 20 new jobs to the area, with positions ranging from janitors and lot porters to repair technicians and managers. Robert Gagliano, COO for Collex, said the business had been looking at moving into the market for a while.

“We have had many requests from insurance companies and agents to bring a Collex Collision facility to the downriver area,” Gagliano said. “We are very excited and look forward to serving the community and building a successful business in Woodhaven.”

Collex Collision Experts, founded in 1975, is family owned and includes facilities in the Detroit and south Florida areas. For more information, go to collex.com.
