OEConnection Links Car Dealer Inventory to eBay

Sept. 5, 2013

Sept. 3, 2013—OEConnection LLC, a parts e-commerce technology provider for original equipment manufacturers (OEM) distribution networks, has announced the launch of MarketplaceDirect, a web-based solution that will make it faster and easier for franchise car dealers to sell parts on eBay and other online marketplaces.

“MarketplaceDirect is the tool dealers have been looking for to help them capitalize on the power of eBay, where tens of thousands of auto parts are sold daily,” said Mark Tomasetti, OEConnection senior vice president and chief commercial officer.

MarketplaceDirect integrates with a dealership’s parts inventory and allows dealers to create their own parts list based on pre-defined criteria that uploads data and photos automatically. The solution populates each listing with information needed for eBay, including quantity, pricing, part numbers and detailed OEM catalog diagrams.

“MarketplaceDirect automates the entire workflow directly through the OEConnection portal, making it easy for dealers to reach millions of auto parts buyers worldwide,” Tomasetti said.
