PPG launches HS Express Clearcoat P190-6800

Dec. 29, 2011

Dec. 29, 2011—PPG’s new HS Express Clearcoat P190-6800 is now available.

The clearcoat is a 2.1 VOC air-dry compliant formula that is part of its Nexa Autocolor product line. It bypasses the baking cycle and is ready for polish in 30 minutes. P190-6800 works for both spot repairs and panels in various operating environments.

“Not only does this new clearcoat fit well into the Aquabase Plus system, it also displays exceptionally fast process speed, which means significant time savings over conventional clearcoats,” said Jeff Griffin, PPG compliant segment manager, North America. “And with no bake cycle required, P190-6800 saves energy costs because there is no need to heat the spray booth. This is definitely a critical productivity advance for the collision industry.”
