Nov. 16, 2012

Nov. 16, 2012—CARSTAR Auto Body Repair Experts expanded on the East and West coasts by adding two collision repair shops to its network in Washington and Florida.

CARSTAR has added Orlando American CARSTAR Collision based in Winter Park, Fla. The shop, founded in 1991, is owned by Orlando Torres.

“We are excited to welcome Orlando Torres and Orlando American CARSTAR Collision to the CARSTAR network,” said David Byers, CEO of CARSTAR. “We are thrilled to expand our presence in Florida with this new top-notch collision repair center.”

In addition, Hi-Tech CARSTAR Eastside recently opened in Tacoma, Wash. The shop is independently owned by Tracey Copeland, who operates three other locations in the Tacoma market—Hi-Tech CARSTAR, Fred’s Autobody CARSTAR and Parkland Collision CASRSTAR.

“We also congratulate Tracey Copeland on adding a fourth store in Washington state,” Byers said. “We find that store owners with multiple operations can enjoy even more benefits from the CARSTAR network, and we’re proud of his efforts as one of CARSTAR’s dynamic owners.”

CARSTAR said both of its new locations will have access to the company’s management system, 19 corporately managed direct repair programs (DRPs) and 45 corporately managed purchasing programs.

The company now operates more than 410 collision repair locations throughout 31 U.S. states and 10 Canadian provinces.
