SEMA announces hottest vehicles

Nov. 1, 2011

Las Vegas, Nov. 1, 2011—The second annual SEMA Awards for hottest vehicles were presented Tuesday during the 2011 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

The SEMA Award honors vehicles that specialty-equipment manufacturers believe are the best platforms for accessorizing, and that showcase this year’s coolest products, according to SEMA. The award recognizes four vehicle models in four categories.

The awards categories and winners are as follows:

• The Chevrolet Camaro won the Hottest Car award.
• The Fiat 500 won the Hottest Sport Compact Car award.
• The Ford F-Series won the Hottest Truck award.
• The Jeep Wrangler won the Hottest 4x4-SUV award.

“As the visionaries and innovators of the industry, our SEMA Show exhibitors determine the winners of the SEMA Award based on the vehicles they showcase in their booths,” said Chris Kersting, president and CEO of SEMA. “With each booth vehicle representing one vote, the most prominent models in each category are the winners. The SEMA Award celebrates these outstanding vehicles that emerge each year at the show.”
