Oct. 24, 2013—The Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) will hold an open meeting from 5:30–7:30 on Nov. 5 in Las Vegas during the SEMA Show.

The meeting will serve as an open address to industry members, highlighting the association’s 2013 initiatives and activities. There will also be updates from the SCRS chairman and executive director, and discussions on future areas of focus for the association.

Toby Chess, SCRS education committee member, will give a presentation detailing critical safety information about the importance of proper repairs. Chess will demonstrate common improper repairs and explain how a culture of disregard for OEM repair procedures and necessary equipment can compromise consumer safety.

Also, Rick Leos, Toyota Motor Sales collision business development consultant, will announce the final launch of estimating solutions the automaker has been working on in conjunction with estimating products.

The event will take place on the SEMA Show Collision Repair and Refinish Stage in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. It is open to everyone and no registration is required.
