I-CAR outlines NACE training options

Aug. 22, 2011 — I-CAR will offer an all-new technology showcase and 12 training opportunities, including several I-CAR ProLevel 1 sessions, at this year’s NACE Expo, the organization announced Monday.

The technology showcase will cover scan-tool technology, automotive carbon fiber repair, and best practices for advanced vehicle structures. It will also provide updates on refinish technology and GM collision repair technology.

I-CAR’s training schedule is as follows:

• Overview of Cycle Time Improvements for the Collision Repair Process (CYC01)
• Hybrid Electric and Alternative Fuel Vehicles (ALT02)

Oct. 8, 8 a.m.–noon
• Plastic and Composite Repair (PLA03)
• Collision Repair for Ford and Lincoln Vehicles (FOR05)
• Waterborne Products, Systems, and Applications (REF07)

Oct. 8, 1 p.m.–5 p.m.
• Hail, Theft, Vandalism Damage Analysis (DAM09)
• Corrosion Protection (CPS01)
• Vehicle Technology and Trends 2011 (NEW11)
