June 3, 2010—The New Jersey chapter of the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers (AASP/NJ) held its sixth annual Lou Scoras Memorial Gold Outing last week at the Bamm Hollow Country Club in Lincroft, NJ.
The event raised money for a collision industry scholarship created in memory of Lou Scoras.
“When Lou passed, we felt that we had to do something,” said Charles Bryant, executive director of AASP/NJ. “Considering how much Lou gave of himself and his time to our industry. This outing keeps Lou’s memory alive and at the same time helps future repairers further their education. It really is a special event.”
More than 100 golfers came to play and support the cause, and many other local and national companies sponsored the event.
“Everything fell into place to make this our best outing yet,” Bryant said. “With all of our incredible sponsors, our great members and guests who played and, of course, the money raised to donate to the Lou Scoras Scholarship fund, this was a very special day for AASP/NJ.”
