WATCH: Tesla's Autopilot Stops for Pedestrians

Dec. 6, 2019—Euro NCAP released its latest set of crash test results, and the Tesla Model X was the “standout performer," reported Electrek.

The active safety features of the Model X performed well, according to the report. Euro NCAP gave the Model X a 94 percent rating for safety assist.

The Tesla stopped for various objects at different speeds and times of day. The vehicle stopped at a speed of about 37 miles per hour. It came to a stop on its own when it detected a pedestrian crossing the street in the dark. And, it detected a child running from behind cars, reduced speed before impact. 

All told, Euro NCAP gave Tesla’s AEB a 2.4 out 3 score.
