Employee Dead Following Lift Accident at Tenn. Facility

At a Tennessee auto repair facility, a vehicle fell six feet from a lift on top of a shop employee.

Dec. 2, 2019—One employee is dead after an lift accident at Wood Automotive Repair in Lavergne, Tenn., reports WKRN.

The incident occurred on Thanksgiving Eve at the auto repair shop. According to the report, there was a car suspended about six feet in the air being worked on. The vehicle fell off on top of the employee. By the time crew members got to the scene, the victim was already pronounced dead.

Firefighters were able to use rescue jacks to support the vehicle and get the victim out.
