Oct. 7, 2019—On the heels of last week's news that Driven Brands had acquired the ABRA franchise system, the company has announced that Tim Adelmann of ABRA will be joining Driven Brands as part of the acquisition.
Moving forward, Adelmann will focus on the integration of the ABRA franchise system into Driven Brands and also help with all insurance-related matters for Driven Brands.
Michael Macaluso, the president of Driven Brands Collision, said Adelmann's "experience, industry relationships and proven track record of results will undoubtedly help our collision brands grow and succeed."
Adelmann has spent over 34 years with ABRA and was most recently the chief business development officer. In 1985, he invested in ABRA and opened the company's second repair center as general manager. Over the course of his career, Adelmann has served on the board of directors of the Certified Automotive Parts Association (CAPA), the board of trustees for the Collision Repair Education Foundation, and Creative Living, a non-profit organization encouraging independent living for adults with severe physical disabilities based in Columbus, Ohio.
Also, the same company press release noted that the company will continue to have Mark Wahlin support ABRA as its vice president of franchise development and relations.
