Aug. 16, 2019—The Right to Repair coalition says it will file a proposed ballot question for voters in Massachusetts to weigh in on, according to a report by Daily Hampshire Gazette.

Supporters of the initiative petition say it would update a state law that requires manufacturers to share diagnostic and repair information with vehicle owners and independent repair shops.

Voters approved that law in 2012 after a ballot campaign. The coalition says it needs to be revised to account for wireless technologies.
