LAS VEGAS, Oct. 17, 2013—CCC Information Services announced Thursday the release of CCC ONE Touch, a mobile application that utilizes the CCC One cloud-based platform for writing vehicle damage estimates.
The announcement, which came during the first official day of the International Autobody Congress and Exposition (NACE) at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, said the new application utilizes touch-screen technology to allow estimators to use only their fingertips for creating estimates. It was specifically designed to run on a wide number of Windows 8.1 tablet devices, and the program includes larger icons, support for multi-point gestures and the use of an onboard integrated camera.
“Sophisticated consumers demand transparency and want to be engaged in the repair process,” said Joseph Allen, General Manager of CCC’s Automotive Services Group. “With CCC ONE Touch, repairers can now accomplish this by greeting their customer at the car with a tablet and completing the entire estimating process on the spot. From scanning the VIN, taking pictures, writing the estimate, sourcing parts and reviewing for compliance, to sharing the estimate with the customer via email and uploading to the insurance company, the estimator never has to go back to his or her desktop computer. Envision that experience from the customer’s point of view. We believe this will help repairers capture more sales by creating engagement and trust in the process.”
Ron Nelson, vice president of products and technology at CCC, said the company chose the Windows 8.1 operating system due to the level of options for tablet hardware, including both 10- and 7-inch screens. Windows 8.1 also integrates “seamlessly” with most shops’ existing security, network and printer systems.
CCC One Touch is available for free to current CCC One Estimating customers who subscribe to CCC One Digital Imaging.
Due to high, pre-release demand, CCC One Touch will be rolled out in waves through the end of 2013 and into early 2014. To learn more about CCC One Touch, please the CCC One website.
