ASRW named among nation’s 50 fastest growing trade shows

Oct. 30, 2012

Oct. 30, 2012 — Automotive Service & Repair Week (ASRW) has been named to the Trade Show Executive’s Fastest 50 list for 2012, an honor derived from the show’s growth at its 2011 show in Orlando, Fla.

“We made several significant changes to the event for 2011, and we are grateful for the positive response by the industry, which made this award possible,” said Ron Pyle, president of the Automotive Service Association, which sponsors ASRW.

Awarded by the Tradeshow News Network, the honor was given to trade shows that showed growth in total net square footage of exhibit space, number of exhibitors and attendance between 2010 and 2011.

This is the first time ASRW has won this award, and it comes just weeks after show director Lindsay Roberts said that total attendance and traffic on the show floor was to be down at the 2012 show in New Olreans, La.

Speaking at a press confdernce on Oct. 13, Roberts did say that participation in all of the key events during ASRW, which included educational sessions, forums and receptions, was up over last year, though.
