Longtime Execs Bartanen, McFarlin to Leave I-CAR

June 13, 2019
Two key relations and training directors at I-CAR will leave the organization soon.

June 11, 2019—Longtime I-CAR technical relations director Jason Bartanen and six-year director of curriculum and product development Josh McFarlin will leave the organization soon.

Last week, Bartanen created a Facebook post announcing his departure from the company. He posted the announcement after staff announcements had been made.

Bartanen wrote, "... I’ve got some news to share. After nearly 23 years, I have made the difficult decision to move on from I-CAR; my last day will be June 12. While I can’t share my next adventure yet, I’m excited for the next chapter and am going to come out swinging for the fences.

"I’ve had an amazing journey, met hundreds of dear friends along the way, and like to think that I’ve made a difference while supporting the I-CAR vision of complete, safe, and quality repairs for the ultimate benefit of the consumer. I will always support and embrace this vision and it will continue to guide me.

"I owe so many people thanks and gratitude for their support, guidance, confidence, and willingness to help me along the way. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined the journey I’ve taken. I will be forever grateful to so many people and look forward to thanking each of you when our paths cross next."

On  June 7, McFarlin followed suit. He said he will still be in the industry. His Facebook post said:

"Know anyone looking for a place to live in the Appleton, WI area?

"It is official, we are headed home to Florida! My last day with I-CAR, after 6 years, will be July 19th. It will be a bummer to not work with all of the great friends I have made in my time here, but I will still be in the industry and I am excited to get back home after all of this time up North."

McFarlin respectfully declined to comment to FenderBender when reached for comment on Tuesday.
