May 10, 2019—The Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) has released a new video about squeeze type resistance spot welding considerations in machine settings and weld testing.

Welding machine setup and destructive weld testing is currently a not included operation in all three estimating systems, and this video overviews steps involved, and considerations to make when preparing to weld.

The video was first shared as a part of the Education Committee presentation during the SCRS open board meeting in Nashville in April.

SCRS has also developed a quick-reference worksheet to print, laminate and keep with a shop's welding machines, available online at https://scrs.com/technical-information-by-topic/ under “Destructive Weld Test Worksheet."
